EMERGENCY TRANSPORT PROTOCOL
• On-site medical services are available to campers, staff and volunteers 24 hours per day by a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner. A Registered Nurse will accompany all field trips.
• The Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner will dispense all prescriptions and over-the-counter medications.
• Provided the Authorization for Medical Treatment has been signed by the parent / guardian, camper, staff member or volunteer, first aid for minor injuries or illnesses will be rendered by the nursing staff in accordance with NWKC guidelines.
• If more involved medical issues or questions arise, you will be contacted regarding emergent care.
Transportation to Jefferson Healthcare will be provided by East Jefferson Fire Rescue, Northwest Kiwanis Camp staff or volunteers as deemed appropriate by the Nursing staff.
